Arrived Genoa!

The boat arrived in undamaged and in mostly unsoiled condition. The professional handlers were skillful and carefull. She started right up and was off to her home for the next week at Marina Mollo Vecchio right downtown Genoa. Spent most of the time rerigging her for sailing and replacing the service batteries which were tired to quote my friend Michael. Genoa is a very old sea port where Columbus sailed from to find America. I read the stone docks we were tied to replaced the wooden ones in the 15th century so Christoper may have used the sames ones we are on. Genoa's old city is a complex of narrow passage ways with tall buildings lining each side. Upper floors seem to be residential with street level spaces given to among other things an endless array of very small foccaccia bakers. Each topped with an endless variety of protein and veggies. all very delicious. It was fun to take my new electric bike up and down the mountainess allies searching out pastries, pasta & pizza which is all I eat for the first ten days in Italy. Italy is lovely, good food, nice people and plenty of history. div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
